What is Chakra Meditation?
Chakras are energy points found throughout the upper half of the body and they’re the receivers of the energy that flows into our body. There are seven chakras with each chakra relating to our emotional, physical and mental well-being.
The seven chakras are:

1. Root Chakra (at the base of the spine)
2. Naval Chakra
3. Solar Plexus
4. Heart Chakra
5. Throat Chakra
6. Third Eye Chakra
7. Crown Chakra (at the top of the head)
There are many types of meditation, but chakra meditation is aimed at cleansing ones body through the alignment of the seven chakras. It is important to note that before you divulge into a chakra meditation journey, you must have a good understanding of the chakras and their purpose.
It’s very common for the chakras to be out of alignment and that’s why chakra meditation is so important. Chakra meditation uses visualization and relaxation techniques and there are many guided meditations available to help you cleanse and rejuvenate. With this type of meditation, you focus on the different energy points situated throughout your body and visualize white energy flowing through each chakra. The white light brings cleansing energy and removes the negative blockages found throughout the body. It’s important to maintain a strong focus on each individual chakra to allow new energy in and release the old.
